RETURN TO RAJAPUR is a heartfelt story of love and destiny; a rich drama set in the beautiful landscape of Rajasthan, ripe with centuries-old castles, windswept desert camps, and vibrant Indian music.

In the lush and historic Indian desert town of Rajapur, a young girl, Samantha, has arrived to discover the truth about a mysterious man, Jai Singh. With only scattered photos and old letters and a love stone to guide her search, she slowly unveils the story of Sara and Jeremy Reardon, onetime guests of Jai Singh. As Sara and Jeremy’s story unravels, we discover the truth about Jai Singh and the deep, though forbidden, love he shared with Sara. With the help of her new friend, Amar, Samantha learns of Jai’s love for Sara, Sara’s desperation, and the climactic struggle that leaves Sara, Jeremy and Jai at odds with each other and abandoned in the desert.

When Samantha and Amar find themselves caught up in a sandstorm, history repeats itself: once again, it is Jai Singh who saves her and leads the two young people back to safety. As Samantha struggles with the truth about Jeremy and Sara, she also comes to acknowledge the truth about Jai Singh.

RETURN TO RAJAPUR features the fine talents of a diverse cast of actors, including Manoj Bajpai, Lynn Collins, Justin Theroux, and Kelli Garner supported by Frank Langella and Celia Weston. RETURN TO RAJAPUR is the first feature film of New York-based filmmaker Nanda Anand.
