Now in its sixth year, Arclight Films was founded by Victor Syrmis and Gary Hamilton as an international sales, finance and distribution company which encompasses theatrical, television and home video/dvd. The company currently has offices in Los Angeles, Sydney, Melbourne, Toronto and Hong Kong.
In addition to the Arclight Films label, Arclight Films also incorporates the following labels; Darclight Films, which was formed in 2004 as the genre division of Arclight Films; Easternlight Films, which is devoted to showcasing the best in Asian cinema; and Arclight Television.

Magnolia genre arm Magnet Releasing will open the Jennifer Lynch-directed thriller 'Surveillance' in the fall.

Distributor Odeon Sky Filmworks has acquired the UK rights to thriller Surveillance, which will screen out of competition at Cannes.
Arclight Films is selling the title. Head of Odeon Sky Filmworks Tony Miller struck the deal with Arclight's executive vice-president Liz Mackiewicz.

Arclight Films Intl. has acquired Conquistador Worldwide Media and tapped Pascal Borno as its new president of sales and acquisitions.
Borno will lead the Arclight sales team at Cannes, where the company's "Surveillance" will be screened Out of Competition.
Conquistador was founded by Borno in 1994 and handled international sales for Werner Herzog's "Rescue Dawn," "Nine Lives" and "One Last Dance." Previously, he held sales slots at Dino De Laurentiis, ITC Entertainment Group, Kushner-Locke and Carey Woods' Independent Pictures. More >
