Darclight Films was formed in 2004 as the genre division of Arclight Films.

Motion pictures under the Darclight Films banner include WOLF CREEK, a film sold to the Weinstein Company; PERFECT CREATURE, the stylish retelling of the vampire myth which is scheduled to be released domestically by Fox; SPL, a martial arts film that was also recently purchased by the Weinstein Company and was invited to compete at the Toronto Film Festival; and SNOOP DOGG'S HOOD OF HORROR, starring Snoop Dogg, Jason Alexander and Billy Dee Williams.

Darclight Films also sells many high-profile martial arts films from Hong Kong including the next film in the classic Police Story franchise, NEW POLICE STORY, starring Jackie Chan, a film that will be released domestically by Miramax and Lions Gate.
