BOLLYWOOD QUEEN transposes the musical drama genre popular in the Indian film industry to working class London.

Geena (Preeya Kalidas) is a nineteen year-old woman of Indian descent living in the East End. Her parents have arranged for her to marry a young Indian man. She already has a secret that she keeps from her parents - an R&B vocal group she has formed with two friends. But when Jay (James McAvoy), a white Londoner, saves her from injury on the street, it's love at first sight, and suddenly she has another secret to keep from her family.

This breezy musical spin on ROMEO AND JULIET features a number of winning musical sequences.
